LA LA Anthony shows what Carmelo is missing in a see-through gown at Met Gala 2017

The 37-year-old la la Anthony arrived at the star-studded bash in New York in a floor-length number that took a distinctly minimalistic approach to coverage.

While at first glance the sheer fabric did a reasonable job at protecting the brunette's modesty, the minute the cameras started flashing, so did she.

Let's just say it became apparent pretty quickly that she wasn't wearing a bra.

Fortunately, some embellishment around the chest meant that the hottie was able to avoid a full-blown nipple flash.

Meanwhile the back of the dress was completely cut out, held together by only a giant bow around her waist.

La la accessorised with diamond rings, statement earrings and stiletto heels.

The yummy mummy wore her hair in a high ponytail laden with chopsticks and topped things off with a vampy black manicure.

In the makeup stakes, the beauty teamed a nude pout with silver eyeshadow, sculpted eyebrows and killer contouring.

La la is in the midst of separating from her husband Carmelo and appeared to reference the split in the caption of a snap she posted to Instagram.

"Unbreakable," she wrote alongside a shot of herself smouldering into the camera.

Suffice to say her 5.9 million followers could'n't get enough of it, showering her with compliments and heart emojis.

"You look phenomenal – love you," one gushed, while another added: "My fave Met Gala look without a doubt."

A third chimed in: "The ultimate payback – bet Carmelo is kicking himself."

Clearly revenge is a dish best served hot.
