The Modern Family actress took to the stage to crown the girls this year’s Miss Golden Globes at the star-studded awards ceremony.

Playing up to her accent for a sleazy joke, the brunette replaced the word "annual" with "anal" as she congratulated Scarlet, 14, Sistine, 18 and Sophia, 20.
"Good evening. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has an anal tradition," she began, prompting giggles from the crowd.

"I didn't mean anal, I mean, they have an anus tradition," she went on.

"They have a tradition that they do every year of choosing a second generation to assist in the presentation of the award to fulfil the duties of Miss Golden Globes.
"Tonight we have the three beautiful daughters of Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin, Scarlet, Sistine and Sophia Stallone."

Clearly the jibe missed the mark with a lot of viewers, who took to social media to express their disgust.

"Urgh the Sofia Vergara anal joke. Really? We can’t do better than that?" one viewer fumed.

Sofia opted for a cut-out number laden with sequins and a peek-a-boob mesh panel.

"Sofia Vergara: Here are jokes about anal sex and now...please welcome some children!" a third chimed in.

The Stallone daughters wowed on the red carpet in floor-length black gowns. They accessorised with silver jewellery and wore their hair in tumbling curls.
