But guess what! The 41 year-old Stephen Belafonte will not be getting half of Mel's fortune, it has been claimed.

The 41-year-old is thought to have amassed an estimated £48 million fortune due to her glittering TV in the UK and across the pond.

The mother of three cited "irreconcilable differences" in the papers and filed for joint custody of the couple's five-year-old daughter Madison.

The film producer could reportedly get £5 million in the divorce settlement because he let his career slide to support Mel’s ambitions.

To top up his millions, the mum-of-three is expected to include a gagging order in any pay-off from the divorce deal.

This would ban Stephen from talking about the marriage to the media.
