Courtney Stodden ‘sets for messy divorce’ from husband Doug Hutchison

According to US publication Radar Online, despite the 22-year-old sharing a house with the actor, the pair are not longer romantically entwined.

"Courtney is simply just over it. They are separated, but still living together – it is a horribly awkward existence," an insider revealed.

Apparently the 34-year age gap has become increasingly problematic over the course of their six-year marriage.

"Courtney drinks and is always ready to party, she is realising now that she wants to live her life and she feels like a hostage with Doug," they went on.

"She is ready to move on and move up. She thinks that Doug is going nowhere and she really believes that 2017 is her year to break out. She is hyper-focused on money and her career," the source continued.

Despite everything appearing fine on the surface, it’s thought Doug is devastated by the way things have panned out.

"Doug seems cool, but inside he is just falling apart – Courtney is his life," they added.

The final straw supposedly came when Doug and Courtney spent New Year’s Eve separately.

Doug and Courtney endured a trying 2016 following the blonde’s painful miscarriage in July.

She was subsequently spotted smooching a lesbian DJ on Miami beach.

While Courtney has not yet addressed the split rumours, she tweeted last night: "So p***ed off rn... There's a snake in the grass around here ... #DontTrustAnyone."
